¿What is IP telephony?
Telephony over IP or VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) is that telephony in which the voice signal is sent in the form of data packets through the Internet (voice over IP) or a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
Put simply: IP telephony is the telephony that establishes communications over the Internet.
To send the voice, it uses the Internet protocol (hence the acronym IP).
